Downsview Caregivers Weekdays

Hourly and weekend shits also available

As a Qualicare Hourly Personal Support Worker you will:

• Provide personal care for Downsview and Black Creek clients in their home 
• Assist seniors and their families with complex medical care issues
• Support independence, dignity, social and emotional health
• Develop & maintain relationships with clients and their families
• Provide companionship and living assistance
• Assist with mobility
• Provide personal care and hygiene assistance
• Perform light house duties
• Prepare and serve meals
• Monitor and manage medications
• Work closely withCCAC case managers and support workers

Qualifications include:

• PSW certificate from a recognized NACC college or Ontario community college
• Experience in a geriatric nursing or health care environment
• Experience with Alzheimer's and other dementias
• Experience with Hoya Lifts, walkers, mobility and transfers
• English (German, Italian, Potuguese  or other second language is an asset)
• Familiar with Toronto Senior's Services
• Knowledge of clinical infection control protocols
• Driver's license not required but an asset
